Academy

The Inter Kenmare FC, Academy is the starting point for young boys and girls beginning their football journey, catering for players from Under 5 through to Under 11. Our academy provides a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where children can develop a love for the game while learning the fundamental skills of football.

 The focus of the academy is on teaching the core principles of the sport, including ball control, passing, dribbling, movement, and coordination. Through age-appropriate coaching sessions, players develop the technical skills and confidence needed to support their long-term development. Small-sided games form a key part of every session, encouraging creativity, decision-making, teamwork, and enjoyment while helping players naturally progress towards competitive underage football.

 As players advance through the academy, opportunities to experience match situations are gradually introduced. At Under 8 and Under 9 levels, we organise friendly games that allow players to put their skills into practice in a fun and supportive environment. At Under 10 and Under 11, players participate in development games, providing an important stepping stone towards underage league competition.

 Our academy is built on the dedication of our coaches and volunteers, whose enthusiasm and commitment help create positive experiences for every child. The academy continues to play a vital role in the growth of Inter Kenmare FC, developing not only better footballers but also confidence, friendships, and a lifelong passion for the game.
